The Concept of Surrogate Mother and its Practice in Some Selected Countries

Every married couple definitely wants to have offspring but not allcouples are blessed with children in a normal way. There some couples who choose use the test tube baby technique or IVF, which is fertilization outside womb. Meanwhile, there also mothers unable conceive for due uterus problem. Finally, development of science and technology, concept surrogacy was introduced by mixing husband's sperm his wife's ovum then it placed into womb woman rental agreement. The objective this article clarify meaning surrogacy, implementation process, forms factors that cause its practice selected countries. This conceptual study uses content analysis methods from secondary data. These data obtained scientific books, articles journals, authoritative websites, papers, seminar proceedings others.
